As of April 29, 2021, the organization of train traffic through Sofia Central Station was changed due to the start of the modernization of the tracks performed by the State Enterprise "National Railway Infrastructure Company" in implementation of a project for development of the Sofia railway junction. During the repair, the 1st to 7th tracks will not be used, as well as the deaf tracks on the side of the station. Bulgarian State Railways urges its customers to plan more time to travel to the tracks from which the trains will depart and to be informed in advance about possible changes in the schedule on the day of travel.
