BDZ terminated the procedure for locomotives rental

With resolution №18 / 26.10.2020, BDZ-Passenger Transport EOOD had terminated the execution of the procedure "Delivery by rent of 5 (five) main electric locomotives plus option of another 5 (five), for renting period of 24 months”.

The decision was taken due the failure of the winning participant - UBEX - Bulgaria EOOD, to provide the documents required for the signing of the contract within the one-month period determined by the tenders documentation.

Also, the parameters proposed by the other two participants in the procedure exceed the current financial capabilities of the company.

At the moment there no plans to restart the procedure, in view of the preparation of the next year's budget of BDZ-Passenger Transport EOOD, and possibilities to include in it both rental and purchase of new electric locomotives for the company.
