It is a representative of the most widely produced series of high-speed locomotives in the history of the Bulgarian railways. Its first restoration took place in 1988 to mark the 100th anniversary of railway transport and the Sofia Locomotive Depot. In 2003, it underwent a new comprehensive inspection and was returned to service for promotional, anniversary, and tourist trips, as well as appearances in film productions.
